Anouk follows the golden rule when it comes to interacting with clients

‘I treat people the way I would like to be treated,’ explains Anouk, whose unique southern Dutch accent quickly puts clients at ease. Warmth, patience, and time: these are her ingredients for a great conversation. ‘We may be on the more luxury end of the property world, but we still feel approachable to clients.’

She travelled the skies as a KLM flight attendant and studied Applied Psychology at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, a field she feels shares commonalities with her current job. ‘I care about our clients and making connections is in my nature, which translates to my work at Broersma.’ Her Burgundian Maastricht roots make Anouk the catalyst for a great company culture. ‘I’m the one who makes sure we have beer, wine, and some snacks on the table on Friday afternoons, which I know my colleagues appreciate.’

As part of the new build team, she values the transition away from cookie-cutter apartment blocks and towards intentional multiuse spaces that connect with the natural landscape – a park may be incorporated into the roof, or the project is focussed on creating greenspace views. She lives in an apartment in the district of Amsterdam Oost, in a side street lined with mature trees next to Oosterpark. ‘I like to have one of the best oat milk cappuccinos around at Generator Amsterdam, then go for a run or rollerblade in the park.’
